shine together

Ann is serious about elevating brands, creating a healthier world and experiencing all that parenthood has to offer. And she’s serious about laughter: it’s her personal mission to bring more smiles into the world. After all, the giggles—as they’re known in scientific circles—are proven to boost immunity, reduce stress and enhance energy.

This passion for positivity has made Ann the highlight of many a client’s day. A consummate collaborator, she brings teams to the table to overcome challenges and create something better. That’s been her specialty for more than a dozen years in marketing brands in health care, data analytics, higher education, sports, finance and beyond. And it’s been her joyful pursuit as a proud mom—the source of life’s hardest and most inspiring moments. That’s no laughing matter. Unless, of course, you’re lucky enough to know Ann.

What’s her Hailey Sault?

A beach in Galway, Ireland. It was a moment in time with my daughter, tiny jellyfish swimming at our feet: I just soaked in her joy and contentment.

Laura Smith

run far enough to find your second wind

Wind is what inspires Laura Smith. She sails through it every chance she gets—taking week(s)-long trips on the clear, cold water of the big lake (Superior) with her husband Ted. She runs through it when she’s training for half marathons. And she makes peace with it on the days it blows softly through the trees in her wooded yard. This quiet, organized, focused and slightly-obsessive-compulsive nature lover and avid recycler is equally inspired by detail and helping us with our questions. And thank goodness—for us—because she’s the person we count on to administer our accounts, payroll and benefits on a daily basis.

What’s her Hailey Sault?

“Lake Superior, especially a walk, run or hike at one of my favorite Lake Superior shorelines, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. This lake gets into your being and it becomes hard to live without it.”

create change

A passionate advocate for public health and strategic marketing, Melissa has tailored her career like her life: for a journey of healthy change. That started in college and continued during her work in health care, patient engagement, program management and business development. With a Master of Public Health and a TEDx Talk under her belt, she’s eager to collaborate with clients for healthy transformation. That commitment starts with herself.  When she’s not in our New York City office, you’ll find this Manhattan resident working out, cycling or savoring good food, wine and music with the good people in her life. That is, when she’s not busy giving back to causes she cares about—from the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes to Rescuing Leftover Cuisine for human service centers—in the region she’s deeply rooted in.

What’s her Hailey Sault?

My fiance and I took a phenomenal farm-to-table cooking class in Montalcino, Italy where we harvested and prepared the food together with people who proudly shared their Tuscan culture. We sat outside enjoying the 4-course meal and a bottle of Brunello, overlooking the lush green countryside: nothing about this scenario could’ve been better.

collect moments

Meghan is a people person—an extrovert extraordinaire. Meeting people, hearing their stories and collecting moments with them is part of her natural being. She’s also organized with a capital “O,” graduating from college with a double major—one in organizational management and one in marketing. This combination of left- and right-brain thinking makes her perfect at coordinating and corralling strategists and creatives. When Meghan’s not busy being highly efficient, she’s having fun cooking, running and traveling with friends and family.

What’s her Hailey Sault?

I spent a few weeks each summer in the tiny town of Preston, Minnesota. It’s where much of my extended family lived and where my parents met and fell in love. I would run around with cousins collecting the moments in childhood that shape who we ultimately become.

Joyce Piispanen

be kind to yourself

The pursuit of better for Stephen is all about being kind enough to yourself to be able to step back and explore new ways of thinking, doing and being. Far from selfish, he believes that “kind introspection” allows us to experience the extraordinary—in our lives and our work.

By day he bangs the drum of what’s possible in health care and cause marketing— guiding growth, educating and rewriting limiting rules. By night he’s the drummer in a band called Spider Kelly, named after a minor character in a Hemingway novel.

What’s his Hailey Sault?

Stephen is up for any journey that creates connections, questions our expectations, ideas and assumptions, explores our perceptions, and embraces transformation. And when he’s not busy leading change?

“I like to seek quiet and serenity on the beach. My favorite: Ocho Rios, Jamaica.”

live your mission

For Lindsey Edson, life is an adventure worth experiencing in new ways—yet always driven by intention. That focus on purpose-driven work has guided her exploration in literal and figurative ways. A Dairy State native, she’s traveled the world—Thailand, Sweden, Venezuela, Hungary and beyond—with a fully-loaded curiosity for tasting a place the way locals do. In Africa, that meant teaching Tanzanian children math, English and basic health skills. In the Bronx, it meant helping kids learn tennis and compassion.

Her belief in a passionate sense of purpose is on display in the work she does for Hailey Sault—whether it’s helping clients tell a better brand story or using the right channels to advocate for big brand movements. One that’s close to her heart: cultivating good food from local sources to foster healthier families and more sustainable communities.

What’s her Hailey Sault?

“I have a sweet spot for my family cabin that was built generations ago and passed down for everyone to enjoy. It’s got history and soul.”
